Founder and Owner of Iron Performance
Matrixx is the founder and owner of Iron Performance. He believes in the relentless pursuit of knowledge with practical application to ensure the success of his athletes and clients. Matrixx has a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Kinesiology from Brock University and a postgraduate certificate in Exercise Science for Health and Performance from Niagara College. He is currently certified with the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also certified with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology as an Exercise Physiologist.. Matrixx also works with dedicated members of the community who are passionate about improving personal fitness. He is the author of The Iron Guide to Building Muscle, was featured in YourWorkoutBook.com for his rowing strength program and has his articles displayed in multiple college curriculums. He is also the creator of the online continuing education program, The Strength Coach Springboard. Matrixx believes in being agile with his training approach and has helped countless clients build strength and improve overall fitness. His abilities to create programs catered to “the busy person” has allowed many businessmen, full time workers and first responders reach their physical aspirations. Matrixx has also prepared many candidates for their first responder physical testing, including those pursuing policing, firefighting and the Canadian Armed Forces. In the world of sports, Matrixx has prepared numerous athletes for international competitions, including the World Championships and Olympic Games. He likes to focus on developing young athletes while preparing them for potential NCAA opportunities. Matrixx works with many elite volleyball, basketball and rowing competitors striving to own the podium. He was also head of strength and conditioning for Niagara College Men’s Basketball and the St. Catharines Falcons Jr. B Hockey Team. Matrixx is currently head of strength and conditioning for the Niagara River Lions Semi-Professional Basketball Team. When he isn’t coaching, lecturing or preparing programs, Matrixx can be found lifting heavy weights, reading books or spending time playing with his extremely handsome dog, Fisher.
