Garrett is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) through the national strength and conditioning association (NSCA), is a Certified Underground Strength Coach through Zach Even-Esh's Underground Strength Gym, and is a Certified Physical Preparation Specialist (CPPS) through Joe DeFranco and Jim Smith. He is also the Alabama state director for the National High School Strength Coaches Association (NHSSCA).
