Jay Dawes PhD, CSCS,*D is an Associate Professor of Strength and Conditioning and the program coordinator for the Masters of Science in Strength and Conditioning program at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. He has worked as an athletic performance coordinator, strength/performance coach, personal trainer, educator, and post-rehabilitation specialist for approximately 20 years. He also frequently coaches and provides sports science support to numerous elite and professional teams, as well as law enforcement, fire, and military groups. Jay's primary research interests are improving and measuring performance for the tactical athletes/first responders, and enhancing athletic performance.
