New Look, Same Mission.

You may have noticed some changes around here lately.

The marketing website has a fresh look. New product names are starting to appear in your dashboard. But make no mistake—TeamBuildr is still TeamBuildr.

Still independently owned. Still built for coaches by coaches (before that was cool). Still supported by real humans who answer your calls. And still focused on one thing: making your life easier and helping you become the best coach you can be.

From One Powerful Idea to a Comprehensive Coaching Platform

TeamBuildr was born from a simple, all too common frustration.

While playing football at Johns Hopkins, co-founders Hewitt Tomlin and James Peters were tired of receiving printed workouts that got torn, lost, or forgotten.

Coaches programming workouts in Excel.

Athletes scribbling notes on crumpled paper. Valuable data falling through the cracks, sometimes literally.

That’s when the idea took shape: a platform that would help coaches save time, write better programs, and actually use the training data you worked so hard to collect.

What began as a strength & conditioning solution 13 years ago has since evolved into something much bigger.

Today, TeamBuildr is a family of purpose-built tools made to support more than 5,000 strength coaches, gym owners, sport coaches, athletic directors, and more worldwide.

TeamBuildr Today

TeamBuildr Strength (formerly just “TeamBuildr”): the flagship S&C platform, now with a name that clearly reflects its core purpose: helping you program, deliver, and track strength & conditioning at every level.

TeamBuildr AMS (formerly Sport Science Hub): the same Athlete Management System designed to help you easily collect, organize, analyze, and share data related to your athletes’ performance, wellness, and overall development.

TeamBuildr OS (formerly GymStudio): the same rock-solid, super-simple software for gym scheduling, billing, and member management. But now with a name that reflects its true role: your gym’s operating system.

TeamBuildr Practice: the newest TeamBuildr product, designed for sport coaches to plan practices efficiently while keeping your staff in loop and your athletes as safe as possible.

“It’s always centered on that customer service experience that built the original reputation for TeamBuildr,” Hewitt said.

Now TeamBuildr extends that to new people—and invites you, as a sport coach, athletic trainer, or gym owner (and more), to experience what software built by TeamBuildr looks and feels like.

Whether you’re coaching a small high school or preparing pros in the NBA, the tools are designed to work for you.

“TeamBuildr is proud of the variety of customers served. If you take a look at a high school in the Midwest, and they are using TeamBuildr, and you take a look at an NFL team or a Premier League team using it.

The same product is serving such a variety of customers. That kind of level of impact is really special because we never had to specialize for this coach or that coach or this sport or that sport,” Hewitt added.

What's Next For TeamBuildr?

TeamBuildr isn’t slowing down. TeamBuildr isn’t going anywhere.

The mission remains: build tools that help you save time, reduce friction, and unlock your full potential—whether you’re a coach, gym owner, or athlete. That could mean refining current tools or developing something entirely new to support your work.

“If I’m doing this, I ought to be doing it to fulfill my potential as an entrepreneur, as a leader, and as someone who serves the strength & conditioning and athletic community…

We’ve stayed ambitious because we know we have so much more to accomplish," said Hewitt.

Whether you’ve been here from the start or just joined the TeamBuildr family, thank you.

You’re part of a community that’s pushing the industry forward.

And the best part? You’re just getting started.
