After a decade of refining its Calendar tool, the backbone of how thousands of strength and conditioning coaches design and deliver training programs, TeamBuildr isn't just releasing an update. We are launching BUILD: a years-long, ground-up rebuild of our programming interface accessible to coaches this summer at conferences across the country including NSCA, CSCCa and NHSSCA.

BUILD is being positioned as the fastest, most flexible programming workflow ever built for strength coaches. The announcement comes after years of direct feedback from coaches at the high school, collegiate, and professional levels — the kind of feedback that informed not just a new coat of paint, but an entirely reimagined experience.

"Years of feedback turned into years of development. This is the beginning of the second lifecycle of TeamBuildr - a platform to incorporate innovation in AI for years to come.”

At the core of BUILD is a dual-mode programming system. Coaches can choose between date-based programming, which anchors workouts to specific calendar dates or days of the week, or free-form programming, which removes those constraints entirely for coaches who prefer to build in a more open-ended, block-based style.

Speed was a central design priority. BUILD introduces drag-and-drop functionality across exercises, questionnaires, and entire program sections, along with an undo function for accidental deletions and a full suite of keyboard shortcuts — small additions that add up to significantly less time at the keyboard and more time coaching. Most importantly, BUILD will act as a platform for AI-based innovation to deliver powerful S&C-specific tools to coaches in a native platform that has served S&C coaches for more than 14 years.

For coaches who live in the details, BUILD delivers on that front too. A multi-select tool allows bulk management of workout segments, while collapsible session breaks keep complex training days organized. Custom programming options — including comma-separated reps, custom percentages of 1RM, tempos, and supersets — give coaches the precision they've come to expect from a platform trusted at every level of sport. Critically, everything coaches have already built stays intact. Existing programs, assigned athletes, and historical data carry over seamlessly into the new interface.

TeamBuildr plans to formally reveal BUILD at major strength and conditioning conferences this summer, giving coaches a hands-on look at what we describe as the biggest leap forward in ten years. For those who can't wait, a dedicated BUILD course is already available at courses.teambuildr.com/courses/build-programming.
